Quite disappointed that this has not held up well. Fruit vibrancy absent leaving tannins and oak and a slight metallic note. Softer on day 2 but lacking varietal character. Earlier drinking held more promise.

30 mins decant. Quite smooth, easy drinking, little tannin (probably due to age and the higher % cab franc), some fading fruits, a little rustic but no doubt new world. Stood up well for year 9 + 1st vintage + not perfectly stored. Probably should drink up. 33% Cabernet Franc 20% Petit Verdot 16% Cabernet Sauvignon 16% Merlot 15% Malbec

Great go to wine. Clear dark ruby in colour. Clean nose of dark fruit and violet. Dry, smooth tannins, med acidity, med body, black fruit, plum, and floral on mid palate. Not a long finish. But overall a nice red from BC. Expensive but better value than some BC reds.

Drink as a Pop n Pour [dont decant read why]
Pop n Pour:
Blackberry, Inky, together, oak sweetness, touch of black olives
Let it breath for a couple of hours:
Oak was more prominent the fruit faded, lots of oak spice, nutmeg etc
Conc: Young vines, this explains to me why the fruit fades fast after opening
