  Maybe this needs a significantly longer time in bottle than one would typically think. I have one left so I'll hold onto it to see. Now, this is nothing special.
  
  The nose gives off strong oak scent with must and gym socks as well as a heap of alcohol. A bit high in acid, IMHO, the flavors veer toward dried plum and some leather with a slight chocolate note wiggling through.
  
  With time & air, it was just sweet and reminiscent of a not so good Zinfandel.

  Day 1 74 pts Unbalanced. Overly acidic. There may be some decent fruit underneath but this wine totally muddled. Day 2 84pts. I guess this needed a much longer time to breathe than I had thought. Still not great, but nice notes of blackberriies and black cherries and actually quite smooth. Apparently this puppy really needed some time and air to simmer down.
