My one and only bottle. Savory, a little green, and with some more mature elements. Still balanced with acid and some fine tannins. I think it might be past peak but still life left.

There is a vibrancy, energy and electricity with this wine I normally don't encounter with a Napa cab. This has high acidity, high alcohol, though it's not obvious. I really like it. Hard to believe it's nine years old; it almost tastes like a barrel sample, it feels so young. Not overdone. This was a great deal.

Excellent for the reasonable price as Napa Cabs go. I had notes that this was a blend but nothing on the bottle, as it varied quite a bit from pure Cabs and was in more of an old world, lightly oaked style. Sure enough looked it up and it is 23% Syrah. I liked the balanced, rich style with moderate fruit and tannin, and my wife who usually hates Napa Cab (she mostly dislikes oakiness) liked it also, so this can appeal to a wide range of palates.

Popped & poured. Didn't pair well w/spaghettios, so I was forced to make pork chops on the grill.
Very earthy, old world, elegant for its age. Nose is must, dust, cedar and pencil shavings. Blueberries, tobacco, and graphite on the palate. Still big earthiness after an hour, reminds me a LOT of French wines I've tried. Overall, excellent.

Improved since the last tasting, with more balanced and structured tannins from the additional bottle age.
