If you enjoy the Old World style this is one of the best values on the market. I bought a case of this on sale for less than $5 per bottle and there aren't many under $15 that can touch this one IMO. The '02 is on the lighter side now but has held up incredibly well. Medium tannins, nice bright acidity, should drink well for a couple more years. Excellent for quaffing.

The nose is pure barnyard funk that did not go away, but the juice is a mouthfull of dark fruit with a spicy long finish- not what I was expecting for '02 southern Rhone.

The funk turned to stewed prunes tonight after decanitng for an hour with a grilled porterhouse and grilled Vidalias. Not worthy of repurchase.
