It is still quite nice, but one gets a clear sense that this wine is on the downhill side of its peak. I purchased this bottle from a vertical tasting a couple of years ago. I loved it then. I like it now. I asked the winemaker how much longer I might be able to hold it and his response was to drink it in the near future. He was spot on!

This was a very pleasant surprise - the years have been good for it and it has aged well. A wonderful layer of rich dark fruit in a surprisingly fine balance. Cabernet Sauv, Petite Verdot, Merlot and Cab Franc get along well and create some complexity. Pam and Steve Lock made a beauty here.

Seems to be on the down-swing; time to drink up. Lots of lush pitted fruit, not many tannins. The fruit is less bright than it had been earlier in the wine's life, which is to be expected, though without much of a tannic background, it's rather flabby right now. Still enjoyable, but I doubt there's enough structure to allow for any additional significant aging.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It tastes like prune, raisin and coffee. The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity. On its last legs. I remember a bottle of this a couple of years ago tasting much better. Drink soon or it will be only good for cooking and auto fuel.

PnP for socially distanced cocktail party. No detailed notes. Still very big. Dark and earthy. Plenty of dark, dry fruit. Still has 4-5 years left.
