Enjoyed with a nice Italian dinner, and paired quite well with the food. Aromas of cherry and forest floor; the palate was light-bodied, and had a pleasant blend of red fruit and earth, with light acidity/light tannins to make the wine very balanced.

This remains one of my favorite Barbera d'Alba. Cool, forest-y, berry notes on the palate (primarily blackberry and cherry) with a very slight hint of raisin and prune -- not entirely unlike a Valpolicella Ripasso. Also a slight earthy-ness, and again, you get the distinct impression of pine forest.
Tannin/fruit/acidity balance is near perfect. Meant to go with food, and drinking very well right now.
Paired beautifully with Spaghetti alla Carbonara. :-)

Medium garnet in color and light to medium bodied. Plum and cherry dominate the red fruit nose with undertones of dark earth. The juicy ripe fruit balances perfectly with just enough acid to make this a food wine and cause some serious mouth watering! OUTSTANDING with a veal and porcini mushroom risotto. I believe this wine will be best while young and exuberant.

Dark cherry and red berry fruit on the nose with some meaty and rubbery notes. Medium body and overall a rather sweet fruity palatal feel. Some herbs and a hint of mocha. Good length. Quite decent.
