Initial aroma of blueberry and jammy fruit. It improved after it was opened and the a blackberry flavor developed with a slight pepper note on the finish. Medium body, medium length finish.

In the past Bordeaux style was common terminology used to describe low alcohol, food friendly Zins. This is a delicious, full flavored, oak influenced, modern version of that style. It needs 30 minutes.

For a $10 bottle of Sonoma Zin - this drinks great. Loved this wine, this is the second bottle I have drank in the last three months and it will get better.

A very nice example of a flavorful, food friendly Sonoma Zin. Shows quintessential Zin fruit of deep plum and warm caramel/brown sugar/petrol fruit, good balance, oak influence, medium body, ripe feel but not over the top, structure for the table and low alcohol. Overall an enjoyable, complete, inexpensive wine for casual drinking. Better after 30 minutes.
