My last bottle, a nice run. Drinking well, not over the hill like my previous note, but don't hold these any longer. Pleasant tea, dark fruit and earth with integrated acidity/tannins.

Pleasant. With good red fruit and characteristic minerality. Soft, with defined but not offensive tannins. Fair price per quality in my opinion. Certainly good table wine.

(Torre Quarto Bottaccia Nero di Troja) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-an intriguing delicious factor on this nose; some strawberries; definite black pepper that I like; it also comes across Old World; some tobacco leaf and cigar smoke; nice -- really nice; PALATE-this wine is bringing it; good viscous palate structure; the weight is really exciting; the tannins are really firm, but integrated and delicious; like sour grape candy, but not sweet; some interesting pepper and tobacco leaf; then crushed cassis throughout the finish; this is REALLY good; this beats the crap out of every Chianti under $15 that I've had in the last 3 years; this is a SPECTACULAR bottle of wine for $11 bones; one of the best values we've had on WLTV; this will appeal to a lot of people; AG-90; GV-90

Peaking now. Much more earth than fruit. Everything is very integrated and balanced. Great wine for the price.

After 45 minutes of air: Dusty palate. Tobacco. Sour cherry. Awesome with Italian sausage casserole.
