Eric Guido has this one down perfectly: there's candied cherry, nutmeg and earth on the nose, black cherry, fig, raisins and more spice on the palate. This didn't open up till the second glass, but then it was a knockout, with a lingering finish with that trace of bitterness you get with amarone. 16.5% but no impression of hotness, well integrated. Brought by the Bardavids.

Amarone Families (New York Public Library): Medicinal cherry, spice and undergrowth dominated the nose. On the palate, it was juicy with silky textures and flavors of cherry, cinnamon and herbs. The long finish was soothing and warm with dark red fruits.

Smak/lukt: for mye alkohol. Lukt og smak og rosiner og svisker /tørket frukt.. smaken var det samme. Litt for søtt/kvalmende. Passer til sjokolade

smooth body, moderate berries BUT after taste typical of Amarone, which I don't care for
