So soft on the palate, beautiful clarity and purity to the fruit. Balanced, spicy acidity and sweet tannins with a relaxed grip that comes in late. Absolutely delicious. Drinking now and should age gracefully.

The nose reminds me of a forest from top to bottom, with the funky wet wood on the ground and the evergreen scents up above. Some deep cherry scents lurk around the forest floor as well. The nose is really engaging. Cherry skins lead the experience on the palate, with big, dark, cherry fruit showing later. The evergreens make an appearance as well. The tannins are gentle despite the youth of this wine, and citrus notes deliver a crisp experience on the finish. Everything lingers nicely.

Weekend Before Memorial Day Tasting Trip (Willamette Valley Oregon): Dark and tantalizing, this nose delivers scents of lovely dark cherries, sage, and pecan pie. Immediately, I'm impressed as the soft and luscious mouth feel sets in. Acidity and oak evolve slowly but are always lingering behind an excellent display of cherry and strawberry fruit. Depth of flavor and impressive elegance make this a winner.

What a crazy nose, coffee and cranberries? Very interesting. Amazing on the palate, singing acidity, red fruit and cranberries again with a strong mineral/granite backbone. Very young at this point, the acidity surrounds everything, needs time to calm down but is so enjoyable now. Should be a real stunner in years to come.

Weekend Before Thanksgiving in the Willamette Valley, Oregon (Oregon): Futures tasting: Rich coffee comes through on the nose along with deep blackberries and some oak. The mouth feel is awesome here. It's very even across the palate with blackberry fruit that comes in right away. Apple flavors blossom with some oak on the late-mid palate. The acid rises up and runs out on the finish along with tannins that have been well balanced all the way through. The structure is great, and the flavors are interesting. Excellent.
