  This is either shut down hard or is just an austere wine. The aroma and taste is dominated by chalkiness but there is some pretty fruit peeking out underneath the dull exterior. This was a gift from a German visitor who paid, I think, about 9 euros so I wasn't expecting much. This producer is apparently in Burgundy and produces some negociant bottlings from other regions.
