Drank it at Enoteca Pinchiorri, Florence; a great restaurant with a sumptuous wine list. Medium dense red, lightening at the rim. It had a charming, soft nose, with a light hint of beet root. A very good and graceful wine, complex but not complicated; with depth and aristocratic behavior to it. Needs lighter food to shine; it had trouble holding up to the "spaghetti a la chitarra" served alongside. Good where it is right now; I don't give it more than another 10 year at this level.

Confrerie Burgundy Trip – Day 2 (Gevrey-Chambertin/Morey-Saint-Denis): Perfumed nose of flowers, then cherries. Pure cherry juice and minerals on the very elegant palate. Beautifully balanced. Graceful finish and very long.
