  • WOW, yum, big tropical fruits, lime, sour green apple and juicy pink grapefruit. The acidity is a mouth-watering zippy and steely, excellent balance of fruits and acid, some lemongrass greeny. Some richness in older oak was present with a subtle sweetness of honey, depth and complexity was indeed a profile for this wine.
Heaps of ripe fruit flavours countered by a zing of sour !
I discovered this winery at the wine fest and was extremely impressed with all the wines on that table, even the Chardonnay, which everyone now knows isn't my thing was very good. Very impressive, probably the best SB I've had this past year. I tasted this next to the Cloudy Bay '03, I have to admit the CB paled quite obviously in comparison.
Thanks to the LDB for discounting this 50% to 17$ a few weeks after the fest !
