dark roze colour, nose of apricots, tangerine, sour apples, flowers, lychees. Taste very different from smell: dry/high acidity. high alcohol, slightly oxidized. Despite its high age, this wine continues to amaze, possibly also due to the 1.5l size. With regret I finished the last bottle with friends. Only real downside is its high alcohol level (16%) but an amazing wine

Colour: bright orange Nose: abricots, citrus, lychees, red fruit, berries, reminiscent of good rose champagne High in acids, as well as in alcohol; a bit too much of latter, especially noticeable when temperature rose Long finish Very impressive wine, highly unusual and outstanding match with poulty/fish with citrus sauce Drinkable during at least next 3 years

Copper/Gold color; cantaloupe, lychee nose; mild apricot, tangerine flavors, thin mid palate not the typical weight of Z-H wines; watery, low acid finish, flabby. Not a spoiled wine but nothing left to lose... poor vintage &/or poor winemaking

DOA NO BUY. The drinkability report was screaming at me to finish this lad and I should have listened. When I opened it up, the deep, dark apple juice colour, confirmed my worst fears. There was some acidity left (of course, because it was apple vinegar !) but the taste was awful. Well and truly dead. Thing is, my local wine shop, still has a shelf of this stuff left? I will return it to them for safe keeping. Perhaps as we speak, a sucker is being born who will buy it.

Tasted from 375ml bottle at Gabriel's in Highwood. Dark amber color. Floral, marzipan and lychee notes, with a bit too much heat on the finish. Paired well with butternut squash torellini, however.
