Taste of Howell Mountain. Poured from a decanter, gorgeous nose of briar, earth, minerals, and black plum fruit, more of the same on the palate, mouth filling, delicious, medium body and long finish, tasted three times, same results, reminds me of the 1997.

Popped and poured out of a 3 liter. Gorgeous purple red color with aromas of spice, raspberry and leather. Drank over 4 hours. FLavors of sweet vanilla/raspberry with smooth tanin and balanced acid. This was enjoyable but appears to be fading. Very nice wine that was enjoyed by all.

If you like your Cabs very fruit-forward, drink this wine in the next year. However, this wine continues to show nice complexity incorporating spice, earth, cedar and smoke. It will evolve further.

So smooth, so well made! Fruit still there, integrated tannins, a bit of wood, vanilla. Would have guessed 10 years old, not 20.
