Mildly earthy, slight honeyed honeydew with perhaps some tropical fruit with a mild tang on the finish; I get the impression that age has mellowed the fruit flavors down to where they come through more as sensations than actual flavors.

The first Viognier I've tried from the Willamette Valley of Oregon was the 06 Witness Tree Viognier Estate Bottled. To the eye it was a light sparkling gold color. But the nose was intense and gave waves of perfumed flowers, cloves, spices and more flowers. In the mouth this was a medium bodied wine and offered sweet apple, candied limes and other citrus fruits. It certainly tasted like a Viognier, but a richer, sweeter tasting version than I've had in any completely dry version of this varietal. 50+5+12+17+7=90
