Good-looking cork, but looks can be deceiving. Dull, dark honey colour. Stale, oxidised nose, with notes of rotten honey and apple cider vinegar. Palate shows good structure, and there are complementary notes of sharp lime and sweet honey, but it's too oxidised and bitter to be enjoyable.

Straw colored, a strong aroma mostly citrus, wet stones, and maybe a whiff of passion fruit. In the mouth, the wine is light bodied and very refreshing, no oak to be found. The lemon and mineral notes are intense and beautifully integrated, with a long dry finish. The acidity level is still high but not overbearing, I suspect that this wine will drink well for a few years. Very good match for shellfish and fish dishes. Overall a very good "textbook" example of nicely aged Chablis.

This is ready to drink- beautiful pale amber, great mineral backbone but much rounder and fuller with the botle age. Nice clean green fruit with a good finish it proved to be the perfect match for the grilled oysters in casino and boiled shrimp on the Clowes patio.
