  Popped and poured. This is a medium red wine with some orange hues throughout, especially when pouring. There is sediment cake on the bottle and some significant sediment toward the end of the bottle (enough that I wish I decanted today). The nose is exceptional, showing ripe cherry, balsam, scrub, rosehips, and mushroom. In the mouth, this displays lovely red fruit and an intense beam of flavor. The finish is of medium length, with lip-smacking acidity and fully integrated tannins. Overall, this wine was very good with Christmas dinner (prime rib as the feature) and in a great spot now – it’s a very enjoyable Brunello. 93 points.

  Last bottle and absolutely the best. Drinking great after 19 years. Opened in an hour. Dark fruit but great oak and terroir.

  Brunello 2004 Horisontal (My House): Wildly intense dark cherry fruit but still with a lovely and elegant touch. Has some complex spices and especially mint-leaves are prominent.

  Drank at Divina with family. Loved by all. New world with deep fruit flavors and the tannins are nicely resolved.
