Auction purchase from last year. Cork nearly soaked but came out in one piece. Straight from refrigerator, a light yellow with no bricking, initial nose of banana and cotton candy turning to green apple, then taken over by matchstick. Decanted for one hour; now looks dark golden yellow in the decanter. Paired with Chicken with Leeks, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, and mushrooms in White Wine Sauce. With food, this has a creme brulee/flan flavor, with a little lemon and matchstick. Perhaps a tiny hint of oxidation, but no green apple apparent now. I wish I hadn't decanted this now. Of course, last bottle. Very classy in any event, and makes me wonder just what a Meursault Grand Cru would taste like?
