Maturing ruby. Medium depth. Brick/orange rim. Nose > Rich black cherry, blackberry, smoky/creamy oak nose. Hint of camphor, caraway seed & blackberry jam. Rich, oaky black fruit. On the palate > Medium concentration. Fruit tails off before nice grainy/oaky finish. Biggest fruit push is in the front palate, which is quite full & then falls off after the medium intensity mid-palate. (89+)

(Bedell Cellars Merlot Reserve North Fork of Long Island) Aromas of milk chocolate and sweet red cherry dominate with a bit of tobacco and a dose of toasty oak. Ripe palate with flavors of cherry soda, cherry candy, tobacco and oak. Fuller bodied and round, but just enough structure to not be soft. More structure would be welcome Medium-long finish. A little simple.
