Relatively bright yellowish golden colour. Odd aroma of oak, a bit of citrus and something odd, something Cartesian ("something I know not what"), something almost like a hint of wet cat. Flavour to match -- heavy and oaky, with a hint of ripe banana peel or white raisins. Some complexity, but I can't get over the oddness of the flavour. On day three, consumed with fresh pan-fried Bass. Good therewith, but a little strong. Slightly past its apogee perhaps?
A strong Chardonnay overall. Half bottle cost $11. Idiosyncratic and good.
Per back label: Various Napa valley vineyards contributed. French oak barrel fermentation, ageing on the lees, and malolactic fermentation contribute to richness and long finish. Alcohol 13.5% by volume.

Maybe kept this a little long. Not bad, but little to distinguish it.

Well made sub-$20 Chard that has a good balance of oak and apple & citrus fruits. Buttery and rich in the mouth with a touch of citrus on the finish.

Cork disintegrated upon opening. Wine had off nose and sour vinegar mouth.
