The dark fruit is overshadowed by a unbalanced spice and cedary heat that didn't dissipate over a few hours. While Steph enjoyed this, I'd say it's past its prime.

Hmm, this left me scratching my head a bit. Wife asked what she could open and i told her this one without grabbing it myself. Few mins later she came up with a bordeaux glass. I took a sip and hmm this does not taste like oregon pinot. Went down 45 mins later and poured into a burgundy glass. The air had helped but this is still a full throttle heavy bodied structured pinot, lots of oak on the nose and palate, high acidity but also with plenty of dark fruits and a hot streak. Seems to have all components but its just not balanced at all.

Black cherry, slightly stewed cranberry, and just ripe strawberry on the nose, which were all a bit overpowered by a touch of brett. Palate was cleaner, although there was some funk on the mid-palate that didn't fully blow off. Probably should have allowed the wine more air before drinking.

Big, yummy pinot. Closer to Kosta Browne than your typical Oregon pinot. In memory of Dolly.
