Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • From TJQ. A surprisingly pale, washed-out appearance in the glass. The reason soon becomes apparent - powerful aromas of musty socks, guava and thoroughly unpleasant barnyard smells betray the fact that this example is horrendously corked. Although the nose is so spoiled as to render the drink unappetising, I sample the palate out of curiosity. Some light red fruit flavours, but no real impact, and the texture of the wine is thin-bodied, acidic and astringent. No finish to speak of (perhaps just as well). Not rated.
