  Drank for interim wine night with Doug, Craig and Pat. This was the fifth wine of the night, and despite following some heavy hitters, it made everyone stand up and take notice. Could have used a bit more time to breathe, but the depth was remarkable. Pure deep focused mountain fruit, blackberry, black cherry, cassis, rum raisin, earth, smoke, firm tannins, surprisingly solid acidity for the hot 2004 vintage. A great, great wine, drinking beautifully.
