Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • This is drinking superbly! It's shows the weight of an elegant Corton Charlemagne, but the soil signature is different. There was more a sense of red soils and darker minerality, but the texture and expressiveness what grand cru through and through. The wine also showed an interesting celery seed note that I often find in fine old blanc de blancs champagnes, e.g. mature Clos du Mesnil and Salon. A terrific experience and a great '88 white burg. Wish I had more.
