Dinner with the wine group (Hillside Supper Club): Golden; high intensity aromatics, slight sulfur, butterscotch, popcorn; palate is full bodied, richly textured but has medium-high acidity which adds a lot of freshness; finish is medium to medium-plus length. This is great. 92-93+

Needs to be decanted to get rid of the strong reduction. Once done, this is beautifully lineated wine. Golden colour, med+ intensity of aromas (acacia, white flower, jasmin), and a tiny note of wood. On the palate med+ acidity and intensity of flavours. Good weight and texture, not overly complex but razor-like precision. Recommended!

deep golden colour (premox?) with lovely white flowers aromas. Dense and concentrated on the palate, good balance and acidity with a very slight but pleasant oxidative note towards the end. Quite a lot to chew really, integrated elevage. Would drink sooner rather than later really, up to 2020.

Interesting house style, combining richness and some oakiness with noticeable acidity. Quite food friendly.

Chapelle-Chambertin Dinner with the Lieu-dit Cru (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Open hour+, in glass 45 minutes before tasting. The star of the flight. Rich orchard fruit aromas with spring flowers. Dense, powerful and very enjoyable right now.
