  • Surprisingly fresh bottle considering it is at the end of its drinking widow according to CT. Should be good at least through 2020. Mouth filling, well structured wine with pretty high acidity to complement the ripe and spicy fruit. Tannins have softened, and finish is medium. Very nice bottle. #LC23091 0

  • Has 67% Carmenere from Apalta Vineyards in Colchagua 17% Pinot Noir from Atalayas Vineyards in Casablanca 13% Syrah From Las Kuras Vineyards in Cachapoal 3% Petit Verdot from Apalta Vineyards in Colchagua. Dense black color with a bright ruby red rim, strong heady alcoholic aromas. Polished nose with blackberries, mocha, roasted coffee, crushed peppers, oak, and herbs. Pure dark fruit flavors on the attack and well into the mid-palate, slight hint of green sap and peppers on the mid-palate up to the finish where it integrates with the chewy tannins. Slightly too alcoholic, weak mid-palate, primary flavors, and too green! Still shows great polish, and a long finish, just a bit awkward. Bottle# 4291.
