  Outstanding! This wine is perfect right now - 11 years old. This is a rich Zin, but not just what people call "juicy". It's lush, round, complex. The high alcohol is gone (the burn). It's smooth and perfectly delicious. A little bit of that dustiness you get in Dry Creek Zins. Just about the best Zin I've ever had...and I've had many! Wish we had more.

  Everything has finally come together on this wine. It is no longer hot on the finish, the alcohol is in balance. Oak is integrated, and the fruit is still vibrant and juicy. I would say it is drinking at its peak right now.

  Gave this a two hour decant which really helped with the heat. Sweet rapsberry candy with a tanginess of orange peels. A very big wine, and is drinking nicely now.

  Dark berry nose gives way to very berry fore, mid and finish. 16.5% noticeable but not off putting. Tannins smoothing. This still has time but tasting nicely now. One more in the cellar will be opened this year. After 90 minute decant this wine became superb. The acidity smoothed and the dark berries became intense.
