Cherry, sweet spice - cinnamon, or maybe nutmeg - and just a hint of vanilla on the nose. Medium-bodied. Satin-like tannins. Very persistent palate; the flavours seem to come in waves. Fairly concentrated with good depth of flavour but also juicy and refreshing with the spice coming through at the end. Great purity. Very accomplished. Has another three good years ahead of it at least .

Open for 3 days and as such the nose has diminished significantly. Some earthiness and sweet forest floor funk. Palate has also lost its earlier vibrant juicy fruit elements but acidity remains pleasing balanced by the silkiest of tannins. Great texture with medium length. I remain a big fan of this value for money drop.

Light ruby color. Red fruits - cherry, currant and raspberry leap from the glass. With time, some clove and forest floor start to come through. Fresh cranberry and pomegranate fruits up front with a woodsy spice and approachable, ripe tannins. Lighter in weight than the '06 Amisfield tasted with it but far from thin, just a more feminine style.

Very floral aroma, raspberry and some earthy notes. Relatively light taste, raspberry and cherry, with some spice. Very smooth. A joy 91/100
