  • Still tasting really great right now !!
Perfect composite cork after over a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days. As always, this balanced wine showed more fruit on the first day. On day two this wine had softened with increased depth and integrated complexity. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of pomegranate and cranberry. Flavors of black cherry, raspberry compote, rhubarb, and black tea. This Pinot Noir has a medium to long finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir from the Ampelos Vineyard the first 100% sustainable, organic, and biodynamic vineyard in US. Ampelos Vineyard is owned and run by Peter & Rebecca Work; located in the Santa Rita Hills planted in the 2001. The acidity of this wine makes it age worthy and it has many more years of life left. Unfortunately, I have no bottles remaining in my cellar. As always, a great winemaking effort from Greg Brewer.

  • Holding up great! Cherry, eucalyptus, white pepper. I'm a big fan of BC pinots and with age, the typical black tea texture and flavors have faded away to leave sweet, smooth fruit. PnP kept getting better over 2 hours. Really looking forward to drinking my 3 other bottles over the next year.

  • An outstanding Pinot, with deep and concentrated dark cherry flavors, medium plus mouthfeel, and a long, pure finish.

  • Opened the sixth bottle of this vintage. Each time it is better. Delicious with Magret de Canard. Shared with friends and that makes a difference.

  • Deep red, lots of dark fruit on the nose which carries to the palate. Big, but reasonably calm. Tasty fruit, just could use some other elements.
