I was stunned at how much I liked this wine. Dark cherry, mineral, and a touch of menthol and rose (how could this be?) on the nose. In the mouth, the minerality dominates, with herb, dark red fruit behind it. Then a tannic backbone comes out, but very fine tannins that overlay the other flavors. I am not sure I have had a better Pinot.

Decanted and enjoyed over a three hour dinner at Sons and Daughters. A stunning wine. One of the finest Pinot bouquets I've ever encountered. Phenomenal right now but I'm sure it can continue to age for 2-3 years. 93+

Less creamy than the Anderson Valley PN and with more tannins. The cherry is a bit more rich and dark but with very few bouquet elements. The grippy, long finish shows promise though.

We did a side by side comparison with the Anderson Valley Goldeneye Pinot Noir. Everyone preferred the Confluence! It's drinking extremely well right now....very smooth from start to finish. Opened the bottle for 2 hours before serving. Noticed bright fruits and spice on the nose (baking spice). We noticed the oak on the palate, but it was integrated nicely. Beautiful finish..... Happy, very happy....
