Boerne Wine Club - Italy (Scenic Loop Cafe, San Antonio, TX): Fruity nose, with an interesting off putting well-water note, but the paate had clean fruit with cherry and raspberry, and a little herbal note for added complexity. medium finish. An interesting wine that stood out from the rest.

(Petra Zingari) Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese. Although the winery describes this as a “fresh, fruity” wine, it is still big, with intense ruby color and lots of dark-berry and herbal notes. Lean and pleasantly tannic, it smells distinctly of the earth in the vineyard. At 12.5% alcohol, it’s a viable by-the-glass option. Winery Spotlight: Petra

This reeked! I like funky wine but not this funky. Red fruit and citrus ruined by stink and a hard edge.
