Pours straw yellow. Yeast, toast dominate with a secondary notes of mineral and minimal fruit. Very simple nose, but pleasant. Tiny hints of varietal characteristics. Taste wise, medium bodied and well balanced. Kind of sharp tannins, with appropriately crisp acids, sizable bitterness, but not enough to be unpleasant. It's a caricature of Chardonnay, but a decent enough, grape-based alcohol based beverage.
Bottom line... 4-10-10-1 Value at <= $6.99 US

Australia has come a long way with respect to chardonnay, especially in the high-end wines. Less oak, less tropical fruit, just more restraint in its wines. Here, we see the progress in a less expensive wine. Admirably fresh, hint of pineapple, green apple, maybe some ripe kiwi. Texture is rich without getting overly buttery. A pleasure to drink. Drink now.

For 10.00 it was that bad of a Chardonnay. Went well with ribs.

All at the party agreed, "Is this even a Chardonnay?"
