Scents of pineapple and brown sugar. It had an interesting taste reminiscent of Bananas Foster (bananas, brown sugar, and rum) with hints of orange marmalade. There's also a unique blend of sweetness and bitter acidity. Very good, but not a great QPR.

Pineapple, burnt/brown sugar on the nose. On the palate, a little apple/pear, and while the sugar is still there, it is not overpowering. The wine opened up a bit as it sat open and warmed a bit. Nice wine. This winemaker is doing some nice things and I look forward to drinking some of their reds as fall/winter nears.

Don't agree with waxy, but there is a viscious quality to this wine. Very sexy.
