Nose is fairly closed, and relatively far from the typical gewurtz aromas, no lychees, more honey. The palate has some traces of tropical fruits but shows more honey again, all balanced with a refreshing acidity that does balance out beautifully the relatively fat texture on the finish.

N: aroma of rose water first emerges, then lush tropical fruit salad, some faint indication of overripe grapes. P: Plush, oily texture, nice fruit balance on mid-palate. Finish is a bit cloying, overly rich in a way some alsacian pinot gris and gewurz tend to fall into. Almost no bitterness on the finish, and semi-dry as is often the case with gewurz from alsace. No further cellaring is my advice; drink up.Nice value, if you're into this style of wine.
