  • Sub 2010 Red Burgundy Night (Extra Space): Tasted blind.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of medicinal herbs, bloody animal meat, iron minerality, ripe red cherries. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), smooth medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of red plums, ripe red cherries, savoury meaty animal, blood iron minerality, slight medicinal herbs. Long finish.
Very good quality. Open for business with lots of clarity and transparency. Just lacking tertiary development, which another 5 years should do the trick.
I was guessing a Pommard 1er or Corton GC.

  • Medium+ colour. Raw meat, smoke, dark cherry. Palate is meat, fresh cherry and cherry syrup, rich and dark mocha very long. This is ready and a very fine example of 2007.
