  Big & nice surprise!
  This is a wine that has been lying around for quite a while, where I had no expectations at all actually.
  Nose filled with fine cherries, licorice, mint and tar.
  Palate shows licorice too, with fine cherry fruit, mint leafs, fine grainy tannins, good structure and fine finish and length.
  Touch of Seville orange and mushrooms too.
  Very fine, very surprisingly.
  Great vintage probably lifted this a point or two, but still, a very fine Barolo

  Classic crimson red Barolo coloring with significant transparency. The nose is leather with red raspberries. Strong acidity, modest mouth feel, dark tobacco and velvety tannins that are the standout feature that dominates the finish. 5+12+16+7=88
