I'm not sure if this is a little oxidized, or if this is the style of the wine. You would think a 2009 could handle the age, and when you give it the benefit of the doubt, though a little rustic, this is probably all right. You get plenty of shale and earth on the nose and palate. Not designed to be fruity, this is a seafood wine. The acid is moderate. The viscosity in medium bodied. I'm unsure about how fresh it is. Nice golden color. Pretty rich for a white wine. Nicely balanced acidity. Let's try another bottle.

Jon-David Headrick 2011 Portfolio Tasting (Boston, MA): Bright. Not as driven as the Delhommeau. Good.
