Gruyere, charcoal, some tropical fruit (guava, cherimoya?). Surprisingly sweet, lots of shiraz notes despite being the least used grape, tangy, mustard seed, and a bit of grape candy/artificial flavorings. Surprisingly tasty, if not the most eloquent.

Popped and poured and consumed over 2 nights. Other reviewers had pretty much nailed this one. Medium bodied with nice raspberry and cherry fruit along with some forest floor notes and a little pepper and spice on the finish as the Shiraz component shows itself. I found this a touch too sweet on the first night but less so on the second night when it showed a little more austere with added weight and complexity. It seemed to drink in phases on the first night but was more integrated on the second. Overall this is a really nice blend which is a bargain at $16. Will definitely buy again. I would expect this to improve over the short term. (88+ pts).

Good funky aroma, seasoned by light cherry - almost like a pinot. Tastes of rasberrry, earth, and tar. Medium depth and finsih
