Bright honeysuckle yellow hues in the glass. Medium bodied, hints of pear butter, honey and sandalwood on the nose. Very well-balanced smoky tree fruits with creamy acidity meet the tongue, reminiscent of smoked salmon on the long lingering AT. A slight sweetness on the palate as well, which I attribute to figs. Over balance is excellent. Drinking now in its prime, though I'm sure it has several more years of life in it.

Note: I use a rating scale for which 85 represents a very good wine.
This is the style of Calif chard I like -- rich, round, and full in the mouth. Tragically, my last.

Clearly not a W. Burgundy -- but perfectly enjoyable for me. A bit round and buttery, but well balanced overall.
