Found one of two of these bottles at the back of my cellar, long forgotten. Thought they might be well past their prime. I was wrong. I expected they might be washed out but instead found a rich, fruity, generally well-balanced deep red but slightly transparent wine. Lots of complexity and body and clear finish. Unfortunately, the only downside was an over powering oak flavor quite present. It initially came across as a sort of vanilla incense but blossomed into fuller wood/caramel/oak, not strong but clearly present. But everything outside of that was very good. I'll try the other bottle in another year or so.

Nice RRV Zin typicity through & through. Raspberry on the nose is joined by the same in the flavor where it is joined by soft vanilla and a touch of hazelnut, then a hint of spice adds on in the finish. Subtle tannis suggest another 18-36 months.
Great QPR. $20 at the winery but $16.49 at Safeway, now on sale for $10.99 or $9.89 if you buy 6+ mixed btls which I did. Good Zin to have on hand for.... whatever.

Dark ruby Very ripe cherries and raspberries, add to it a menthol note and vegetal (green leafs). Also a strange candy note (marshmallow), at times getting coconut.... En bouche... It follows the nose, but less oaky than expected. A ton of ripe fruit and present menthol Candied fruit, lots of it Not long, but a very decent wine.
