This has a wonderful and big fruit presence. This was a PnP and as it is opening up the flavors are deepening. This is a rich, luscious California Pinot, it has a definite California vs. Oregon taste and showcases Anderson Valley pinots very nicely. There is cherry, raspberry, layered with a little smoke and earth.

Came from the year of big, long burning fires and the area lost a lot of fruit due to prolonged smoke exposure. This one is now very smokey (not in a good way for my taste) and a bit on the bitter side. After a small glass and 15 minutes I decided to open something else. I tried.

Tasting in Anderson Valley; Goldeneye, Navarro, Toulose, Phillips Hill, and Zina Hyde Cunningham (Anderson Valley, CA): Ruby color with cherry, cedarwood, and smoke aromas. On the palate, it's medium/full-bodied with cherry, spice and earth flavors. Medium long finish

Black fruit, cedar, smokey oak, and finishes with some cinnamon, lacks complexity. Slightly unbalanced acidity. B
