A unique Rhone blend from California with 56% Syrah, 37% Grenache, 5% Carignane and 2% Cab Sauvignon. This wine is drinking well right now and good thing since I have 8 more bottles to consume! Aromas of red berries precede a smooth entry on to the palate with hints of chocolate and carmel. Supple tannins finish with a hint of pepper. Upon a revisit following cheese or olive oil, expressions of carmel explode on the palate. A beautiful and elegant wine.

Beautiful nose - bacon fat, tar, soil, beet, and a little jam fruit preserves. A "big" wine indeed - tannic but not austere. Dark red fruit at the core with oak and bacon fat on the finish. This wine was the crowd pleaser of the night. Very versatile and multidimensional. Pairs nicely with balsamic & Olive oil, cheese - would recommend smoked beechers, d'Anuis, St. Nectaire to see the different expressions of the wine.

A good wine, but it needs to age a bit more. Medium finish and a bit tannic. Floral on the nose. For the price, its not an everyday wine.
