  • A note on this wine: The first two bottles were good, drank them fairly chilled (8-10, the first one maybe a bit chillier) and first glass without letting the wine breathe at first. Fairly juice-like with a lot of berry overtones, even plum reminding a bit of ruby port wines. Quite sweet. When the wine starts to warm up and breathe, it becomes fuller and more bitter, the tannins coming into surface, but is still quite sweet and the berry flavors, especially blackberry, stick with it. The plum disappears and with it the hints of port. The third bottle was a fair bit warmer when opened (I think 16-18) and it tasted a bit foul. It's a plastic, twist cork so couldn't have been corked wrong. Maybe it was a bad batch or just too warm.
