Dark, full bodied with very grippy tannins. Softened somewhat by day 2. 21 months in oak overpowered the fruit and its character is not representative of the varietal in my view.

Much more robust than when I first tasted this at the winery. Earthy, "chewy" character. Faded after a few hours and not nearly as enjoyable on day 2. I agree with other comments that this is an atypical Cab Franc. Enjoyable but not great.

Another disappointment. When I had this wine first, it had a great nose, but that seems to have been either lost or the wine is in a dumb phase. Either or, the wines was again nicely made but very standard. Medium bodied, nice garnet translucent in color, good structure but med - finish and none of the typical CF traits such as asparagus. This wsa just a super clean wine.

Decanted one hour. The nose on this is incredibly unique. It smells almost like V8 juice, but in a good way. I'm not sure how else to explain it; very interesting and attractive. The palate does have a tomato / vegetal element to it. I am not talking about green or under-ripe fruit; this is again very interesting on the palate and yes vegetal and ripe. There is some oak present; not overly aggressive. The midpalate has a nice dark fruit and pepper element. The finish is about 5 seconds in length and has round tannin. Overall an interesting and unique wine. This may not be for everyone, and is not what I think of when it comes to Cabernet Franc. Never less a very good wine.
