My penultimate bottle from my collection of 6 bottles. As I sit here with a glass, I notice a hint of flowery bouquet giving way to chocolate bar and some mustiness. The wine looks like a translucent cranberry juice concentrate with legs halfway up the glass. The palate has a sharp flavor of dark and red fruits combined and there is NO hint of stewed fruits, either. The wine is tart and devoid of chocolate and cocoa. The short 10 second finish has some acidity with a darker fruit palate that is hard to distinguish. I like this wine and I wished I had this bottle a few years earlier. This is the best bottle yet! If you have any laying around I emphatically recommend that you drink it now!

It's pretty scary being the only tasting note here. I bought the last of a lot of these and had 1 that was corked. The label looks like it was "Harlan" but that is where the comparisons end. I have a glass here now and the nose has a cranberry scent with a hint of cooked plum. This wine still has a fruit forward character for 15 years old, and for a little know Napa wine, I think this is really good right now! There is a mouth of diminished dark fruit and a fairly decent percent of alcohol as this will get you buzzed fast. There is a decent amount of tannin on the finish. I like this wine and it is a "drink now" wine if you have any left. This is what a cult wine should taste like 25 years later; nuff said!
