Sweet smelling and almost jam-like on the nose, this wine introduces itself with ripe fruit and then almost immediately reveals a deeper layer of complexity, showing rich tones of black olive, cinnamon, and creamed honey. Earthy notes of soil and stone combine with chocolate dipped red fruits, while a spin in the glass reveals some faint herbal, almost green pepper-like aromas.
Smooth, bright, and precise, this wine is alive with a whirlwind of flavors. Green bell pepper and jalapeno combine with dark, almost smoky, stone elements to frame a core of spiced, dried cherry and cacao powder. Both varietals make their presence known in this wine, with the dry earthiness of the Tempranillo elegantly supporting the red fruit and green elements of the Cabernet. A very solid wine.
One of the better Texas wines I've tasted. Vibrant purple in colour I found blackberry jam, liquorice and earthy aromas. The palate is full bodied with sour cherry and a tart finish. No great length, but perfectly drinkable.

Took about an hour to open up fully with notes of chocolate raspberries and licorice. The oak, tanins, and acids all melted away for smooth full bodied wine. You can drink now or hold for a couple years.
