  • Light, fresh fruit with an acidic overlay which to us is very typical of Italian wines that were created to be drunk with food, not just sipped out of hand, although this seems more in the modern style to us. This had some time ahead of it. We will look for it on our next trip as we are interested in trying other vintages.

  • We enjoyed several bottles of this wine when in Italy and brought a few back with us. The first did not show as well although we thought we had given it ample time to recover from travel shock. This one was a delight, meaty but not heavey, smooth and elegant, perhaps a bit more modern in style without the overt leatheriness of a more traditional chianti, but an absolute joy to drink. No decanting.
