  good ruby colour, cherry nose, cgood cherry taste, slightly stewed. Long length, medium tannins. Excellent balance.

  We enjoyed several bottles of this wine when in Italy and brought a few back with us. The first did not show as well although we thought we had given it ample time to recover from travel shock. This one was a delight, meaty but not heavey, smooth and elegant, perhaps a bit more modern in style without the overt leatheriness of a more traditional chianti, but an absolute joy to drink. No decanting.
