  • Acquired as part of a “mystery case” promotion by the winery a few years ago.
    Dry cork crumbled while opening.
Dark purple color, bricked at edges. Unappealingly musty nose that blew off after half an hour.
Fruit is subdued but present, featuring plum , cherry and raspberry. Lots of secondary and tertiary flavors are going on. Leather, forest floor, etc.
Another commentator referred to Resonance as an American grand cru, which seems apt. Jadot apparently agrees having snapped up the vineyard for a pretty penny.

  • Opened and tasted over two days. Medium color with a clear rim. The color shows no sign of age. The nose is fresh and lively with sweet spiced red fruit and briar. The palate displays the gentle sweetness I associate with great Pinot. Again, fresh with layers of red cherries, blackberries, Asian spice and sweet herbs. The flavors build on the palate with concentration yet the wine remains "light on it's feet." The finish is exceptionally long and satisfying. An Oregon "Grand Cru" for sure. 95pts. Drink now through 2024. My last bottle.
Disclaimer: I represent Sineann in Maine.

  • Smells sweet and slightly dank. Immediate tastes of ripe plum followed by cherry pie filling or moscato cherry; something like a cranberry without the bite. Currant? Incredibly smooth with a medium finish. Excellent wine!

  • Another round of Oregon Pinots (2009 and older) (Lou Rad's): Sineann (and especially Resonance) always seems to do well in these blind tastings. This won a ten year retrospective of the vintage done in 2012. Purple/slight ruby in color. The nose has spice, cherries, sour cherries and every so often, a whiff of mint. On the palate, this has a great texture. Faygo cherry red pop with slight root beet. A bit of heat initially, but that calmed down. This kept getting better all night, so no hurry on this. Nice finish.
