Linda's Birthday with Hanbun: A real surprise as one would normally not age a SB for 14 years. This was lovely with an wild character of oaky ripe muskmelon. Not recognizable as SB, but lovely non the less. Would drink it up, but still gives a lot of pleasure.

Golden yellow showing some age. Aromas of peach, grapefruit, oak, and yeast. Excellent weight and feel. Nice fruit, tannins, but just the slightest bit flabby, (lacking fresh acidity). Wish it had a little more acidity. Refined tannins roll on a medium length on finish. Very nice. Nearing the end of its drinking window.

Dark straw color, strong nose, lots of fresh cut grass, delightful match to the seafood courses.

Lots of apple with some lemon peel. Evolved nicely and mature, but with more freshness and energy than I ever would have expected at this age.
